Josh’s Croutons

If you have stale or day old bread croutons are a perfect way to prevent having to throw it all out.

Ingredients
6 slices of bread
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs like basil or oregano (or anything you'd like)
Salt to taste

Tools/Equipment
Oven
Baking pan
Small bowl
Brush/Spoon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place herbs and salt in olive oil and sir.
  3. Brush the herbs and oil on to the bread slices. If you don't have a brush use a spoon and gently spoon over the bread and spread with the back.
  4. Slice up bread in small 1/2 inch pieces. (If you aren't a fan of crust slice off the crust and compost)
  5. Grease your pan with oil
  6. Bake 400 degrees uncovered for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool and enjoy!
